Our Economic Development Team includes staff with the expertise to help with all aspects of doing business in the friendly City of Torrance.

Working internally and with local, regional and state partners, the City of Torrance Office of Economic Development can help with site selection, expedited permitting, and referrals to workforce development.

The Torrance Advantage includes a centralized permit center, competitive fees, no gross receipts tax, online project tracking, and the Torrance Police Business Watch Program. Our responsive, trained staff specialists can help any business already in the City, or those looking to expand or locate within Torrance.

Torrance is also close to airports, freeways and the ports of L.A. and Long Beach. The City’s regional transit center is set to open later this year. Torrance is home to major industry clusters, and has access to a wealth of skilled labor.
